If something that I've said
Or in the way
In which I've said it
Has come off harsh or hateful
Or uh mean (right)
And I say "Well if it came off that way
You know that's not my problem"
I don't say that from a place of arrogance
Or from a place of trying to be
Hurtful, hateful or mean um
I say it from a place of TRUTH
Because when you understand TRUTH
Once you know the TRUTH
It stands on its own
And everything else has to either
Acknowledge it or not acknowledge it
Um, Christ himself didn't coddle
The people he was speaking with
And when he was
Speaking with someone
Who was in the wrong
He rebuked them
He's turned over tables in the temple
He's called people sons of satan
He's called people broods of vipers
He's referred to people as dogs
And if we're supposed to be
Following in His footsteps
Why should we try
To take it upon ourselves
To coddle the message
In order NOT to offend someone
Because if we are doing that
Are we truly doing the scriptures justice
When we give this TRUTH
And we speak about
What scripture actually says
Um, so when I say something
Or when I do something
It's not coming from a place
Of being mean
It's not coming from a place
Of being hurtful or hateful
Or even being arrogant
It's truly from a place of love
Because if I didn't love you all
I wouldn't tell you the TRUTH
